I started this blog as a diary of sorts. I had an epiphany and wanted to have a place where I could document the successes and failures of pursuing my dream. But the pages of this online diary aren’t just mine. Stories of frustration, hope, sadness, and joy have been shared by you. I may hold the pen, but you also have the power to speak freely. Together we have grown as a community; Muslims, Jews, and agnostics have commented, mothers have visited, boys pop their heads in every so often, but there is a group of us that call this communal space home.

It’s humble beginning as a blog lead to sharing as a single girl documenting crushes on dead guys, theological implications of movies like Star Trek and WallE, and the importance of being real! God has provided designer clothing when I haven’t had money, a man to love me just because, and challenged me to remove my borders in life. In the past two years I went from single, to engaged, to married. And it’s been an adventure!

I write so others can speak. THANK YOU for believing this matters. THANK YOU for being here. THANK YOU for going to the conferences, coffees shop meetups, and comments. THANK YOU for the the past two years. THANK YOU for loving me in spite of… well… me being me.

Cheers to another year… 🙂
