The opposite of love is not hate. It’s not loving.

You only have two choices: to love our neighbor as we love our self, or not.

But loving others—especially people we don’t know or like—is uncomfortably hard. And it takes time. And energy. In a world moving at the speed of life [which seems faster than the speed of light], who has time to do this, right?

Wrong.

To not love is contrary to His very nature of Jesus. To deny the act Christ commanded to is nothing short of treason.

Romans 13:8  Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.

Galatians 5:13  For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

1 Peter 1:22  Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart…

1 John 4:7  Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

Matthew 5:43  You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,  so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven.

At the end of the day, the choice is ours. To love or not to love. That is the question.
