It has been said, a wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer. Since as far back as I can remember, I was always the child with questions. Why is God invisible? Why is that man sleeping under the freeway? Why do I have to take a shower? There was no methodology to my madness, simply an inquisitive presupposition to story.
Life and love and liberty and laughter pull stories together in a way nothing else can.
Last week I had the honor and privilege of hosting some amazing people at Catalyst Backstage. We spoke about life and love and liberty and laughed… because stories are meant to be celebrated. From musicians to entrepreneurs to television actors, there were no bars held! The little girl who asked a million why questions had to opportunity to ask a million more.
In the span of two days I invited myself to Israel Houghton’s house for a live recording, tried hooking up Brad Lomenick on a date, and even set up Rainn Wilson with a THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID line that only I could botch. [There are certain rules people follow to quantify themselves as professional. Apparently, I don’t follow those rules. 😉 ]
For those who love questions, keep asking. You never know what you might discover.
Speaking of questions, I’m going to be doing a Q&A session on the blog coming up. If you have any questions or would like to start a discussion, feel free to leave a comment and we’ll make it happen. From psychologists to pastors, I’m going to be having them help in responding, so feel free to ask away. Like I always say, a wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer
Love,
The Foolish Question Asker
I flipped out when I saw Rainn come out!!!! So good. I can’t wait to volunteer again next year!!!
🙂
HOW DID YOU NOT PEE YOUR PANTS???
I was laughing, but inside I was crying. How did I do this?!
For a start – that was nothing short of hilarious!
Questions:
1, Christine Caine talked about passing the baton of Christ on to the next generation – how can we encourage the children in our lives towards Christ, especially when they aren’t our own children so it isn’t something we can introduce into their lifestyle and their parents aren’t believers?
2, What’s it going to take for you to write a book?!
Great questions! I will chat with Christine about your question 🙂
In regards to a book: I have an announcement coming soon. It’s regarding work, but mums the word, my British friend! 😉
And people say nagging doesn’t work!! #imgifted
How do you do your eye makeup? It’s great!
On a more serious note, what’s the hardest part of being a Christ follower for you?
The best. 🙂
**Mary may be following in your footsteps…she asks SO many questions!! 😉
Hi Bianca,
It has been a while since I have started to “stalk”you(kidding)/read and listen to your blog.I love it so far and love it that you keep it real.
I have two questions for you:
In one of the videos I’have heard you talk, you mention you had suffered dpression. How did you overcome it?Did you overcame it by thinking only “happy thoughts”/positive thinking?
Why does favoritsim/nepotism exist and are so evident within Christians circles? Why on earth someone has to know someone to get a job(even though are Christians)?
Blessings
Herta
I actually have a Bible question I’ve been wanting to ask you since Desertology – would that count?
Of course!
Ok, so in Exodus and the story of Moses do you think it is relevant that Moses voices all these objections about not being able to lead the people out of Egypt and God finally gives in to his objections by sending Aaron to be his voice, yet by the time that He is warning of the third or fourth plague the Bible begins saying that ‘Moses said’ rather than ‘Aaron said’? Is it just a translationary (made up word) or grammatical styling or did Moses finally step into the role God knew he was able to do?
(if that doesn’t make sense, this is much more on it (written as though I am right, obviously) – http://constantseeking.wordpress.com/2012/02/03/moses-is-my-homeboy/ )
And I’m over here like … Hey I’d go on a date with Brad! Hehe!
