Sometimes Matt stifles a laugh when I pray. I’m sure I sound like a kid stumbling through an oration of appreciation, but there’s actually reasons why I list why I’m thankful. I never want to forget. I never want to take advantage of the little blessings we have or be consumed with what I don’t. So I mentally note the things we do have as an act of solidarity and alligiance to the One who is giver of all things good.
Today I’m thank full.
Full of thanks for…
my God…
sleeping in…
morning kisses…
hugs in the arms of a crazy man…
fuzzy blankets…
pajamas…
my dad’s mash-up meals…
mom’s burned grilled chesse toast…
our savings account…
my one year bible…
lasers…
life…
healthy life…
my mac laptop…
the opportunity to pursue a dream…
the most amazing/annoying family in the universe…
the seven pillows Matt let’s me sleep with on our bed…
my wedding ring…
our apartment…
the kids…
But this year I’m most thankful for the man who chose to spend the rest of his life, dying breath, and bank account with me. He pushes me to do hard things and extends grace when I fall short of them. He simultaneously gets me angry and love him more, which I have no clue how he does. And I’m thankful for it.
