Joshua 14 accounts Caleb’s William Wallace-esque speech as the children of Israel take their Promise Land. It’s one of my favorite battle speeches and after reading it I want to bang my fist on my chest like an angry Irish warrior with blue face paint and yell, Freedom!!!
As Wallace encouraged his soldiers to be strong and courageous, I had the opportunity to bless and send off a couple hundred women on Saturday to life lives in pursuit of their Promise Land.
I thought living by faith meant ensuring it turned out the way we wanted. As it turned out, living by faith might mean your greatest fear is now your current reality. But in those moments I hope we remember that his grace is sufficient for us.
One final reminder to my online and offline friends who are living out audacious dreams of extraordinary lives…
Living by faith doesn’t guarantees that everything ends with a red bow, it just guarantees He’s with us. And that’s enough. Because courage isn’t the absence of fear, it’s living for something bigger than our own preservation.
Here are a few pictures from Desertology! I hope to continue to urge and stir up passionate followers of Christ to live extraordinary lives in pursuit of God. Be strong. Be courageous. Be you.
Special shout-outs go to those watching in Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Washington DC, Antioch [Yasmeen and Dianna], Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and wait for it… wait for it… PUERTO RICO!!! [Gotta represent my island peeps. 😉 Boricuas in the house!] Much love, cyber family.
Sounds like a great event! Wish I were there to see it live!
Hey Bianca: I only got to see the Fri. night thanks to internet issues on Sat. (sigh)…But what I heard impacted me.
Here I am 50 (yes I’m not afraid to say my age), feeling called to ministry but thinking I’m too old. Then, you said that Moses didn’t start his “ministry” until he was 80!!!!!
Wow, I’m just a youngin’ in God’s eyes…
Gonna get out of my desert & persue this vision…
Thank you. Praying for you

It was an amazing event – I shall be bullying everyone and anyone to attend next year! (I’m not even questioning whether there will be one next year because I won’t let you not do one.)
