An epidemic of insecurity is stealing the joy of life from many people in our society today and causing major problems in their relationships. I know the effect insecurity can have on lives because I experienced it myself. I know what it does to a person.
Those who are insecure, often seek the approval of others to try to overcome their feelings of rejection and low self-esteem. They are approval addicts.
He is our Refuge, our High Tower, our Strength, our Stronghold in times of trouble and our Hiding Place. Our worth, value, acceptance and approval come from Him. As long as we have those, we have the most valuable things in the world.
As you look to Him, you will be lifted to new levels of freedom, becoming the confident, mature person you were created to be.
Make God Your Source of Approval

Amen to that. I am finding my self struggling today to find a way to post back to some friends who are on a kick of happiness can only be found within. Its a state of mind etc. etc. I want to share that only true Joy comes from Him but trying to find an elequent way of saying it.

I needed this today. I have recently had a falling out with my mother who I have desperately begged for attention and approval of for years. She is punishing me by giving me the good ol’ silent treatment and it’s eating away at me. Thank you for giving me the reminder that I have a heavenly Father that I don’t have to win love from.
So needed to hear this! Totally had a meltdown yesterday in the midst of stress and gave into feelings of inadequacy. Thank you for the reminder that God’s approval is more than enough and He has equipped me with all I need to do what He has called me to do.
