Grad school leisure reading was relegated to the back of the cereal box, streets signs, and text messages.
Now that I’m out of school, I’m trying to regain the lost art of reading. I love reading, but my schedule only allows reading on cardio equipments, doctor offices, or the occasional Sunday afternoon.
Currently I’m reading:
- UnChristian (Gabe Lyons)
- Sacred Marriage (Gary Thomas)
- Radical (David Platt)
- Linchpin (Seth Godin)
- The Emperor of Maladies (Siddhartha Mukherjee)
But I need suggestions for books that will suck me into their pages. I want to lose myself in other people’s words. I want to fall in love with my own required reading. I want to stay in bed for an entire weekend and only get up to drink a glass of water and I want to cry when the protagonist loses her father in a tragic accident the moment she discovers he’s been searching for her his whole life.
I want those books.
Do you have any suggestions? I will even submit a hand written book report with a shiny red apple on your desk… but I expect an A+ in return! 😉
very nice postfifnd knowledgeable people on this topic, but you sound like you know what you’re talking about! Thanks
I don’t think that i’m previosly “addicted” to tramadol, because it’s someday worked as an anti-depressant, and i’ve realistically taped yearlyabdominal to retract my yetabroad on this medication.
