He is strong and brave and unflinching. You can imagine my apprehension in sharing this with friends on the other side of the computer whom I may not know. But my father—this very moment—is in surgery.

We knew this day was coming but we tried everything to avoid it. Cortisone shots, steroid injections, physical therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic care couldn’t relieve the pain my father has lived with for eight years.

Today—this very moment—he’s under the knife of a skilled surgeon. A sharp scalpel in the hands of a healer are cutting open my father’s neck in hopes of healing damaged vertebrae. Four hours of surgery, three doctors in care, and a five children are praying for a miracle healing.

I simply ask that you—this very moment—pray for my daddy. For full healing. For fast recovery. For pain free living. For many more years of ministry, teaching, family dinners, laughter, and birthdays to come. I rarely solicit things on the blog, but I’m brazenly soliciting prayer for the most amazing father in the world.

A million times over, thank you.
