It’s been one year since I mustered up the courage to start blogging. One year to live my life in cyber-space. One year of writing thoughts, hopes, and dreams to anyone who would read them. One year of doing what I thought I never could: change the world.
365 sunrises greeted me each morning and 365 moons wished me goodnight. 259 blog posts written and 23 vlogs recorded. Countless friends made and countless more in the making.
- I wrote my own version of the Prayer of Jabez and lovingly renamed it the Prayer of Juarez.
- I tried convincing my sister [in the middle of a clothes crisis] that a well-made bed is like God’s promises.
- I spoke about the borders in our life we put up to protect us the hurt and pain of reality [and posted a heinous picture of me at the age of 11].
- I addressed the loneliness of singledom and the burden which may come with marriage. Ironically, it’s within the same year I get engaged!
- I posted the secret truth that I don’t know what I’m doing with my life in the same year I began this blog with the ambition of changing the world.
One year has passed and I am committing to more. I don’t know how long I’ll blog, but as long as I have a mind to think and breath to speak, I’ll be documenting life… in the name of love.

Okay, you said that I'm planning my wedding in 4 months. Actually, it was 7 months but I lost 3 months thinking we were going to do an international trip. Theeeeeeen everything got switched around and now I have 4 months to try to shift everything back to the States. Ugh. But God is good. It's going to be fine.

I had a corporate blog for three years. That was easy. It's sharing your heart and soul and real experience that gets scary and weird. I feel like I pretty much just 'splat' it out there and wish I wrote as beautifully as you do! ;-))

God can do alot in one year!! I looked over at the post where you confessed you had no idea what you were doing with your life. I have to admit- I HAVE NO IDEA either!!!! I mean, I dont want to tell you how to run your blog, but what if you added something to maybe get peoples attention? Just like a video or a picture or two to get people excited about what youve got to say. In my opinion, it would make your blog come to life a little bit.
