When most people think of missions, they think of getting on a plane, going to a foreign country, preaching the gospel, and feeding the hungry (at least that’s what I thought). But what if I told you that you can still be on a mission without having a passport?
This week’s devotional from Mark 16 is called No Passport Required because it acknowledges that there is no passport required for pursing the call of God upon your life. So, whether you are living in a foreign country or your local community, let’s LIVE ON MISSION every single day!
I just love the way God loves us, He sheds light in ALL of our inner voices/meditations of our head/heart. In the last pass three weeks I have traveled a couple of times down to Sand Diego area with my daughter for a couple soccer tourneys. As I see far unto those mountains down south I kept on thinking/reminiscing within me on how much pride and joy I used to have traveling down to Mexico to serve at orphanages, and short mission trips, how I missed those days. I look at my life now and thinking I have not done anything to serve Christ outside our USA borders, which is not a bad desire at all, my life is just a bit different at the moment. How crazy is this! I needed to hear this devo, and gain perspective again. I have plenty of mission work to focus here, with my young ones, at my job site, even in my neighborhood, friend that are walking through sufferings, and all kinds of people that need the touch of God, and need to know Christ love for them. Thanks B, for bringing this subject today! I needed to hear it, God loves me, nothing escapes Him. Love you in Christ dear sister. Praying blessings over you in every remembrance of you <3 E.
Thanks E! You are still on the journey with me. You’re the best!
