I love Mexican food, he said with enthusiasm and legitimate fervor. I found it odd that he could love Mexican food considering we were in the mid-West. But he started naming off his favorite Mexican foods like chulupas, nachos, and burritos—none of which are Mexican.*
I asked him where his favorite Mexican restaurant in the area and he replied, Taco Bell! I knew we needed to chat.
Devotionals remind me of food from Taco Bell. It looks similar to the real-deal, but at the core of it, it’s not the full enchilada [pun intended].
Devotionals are great… if that’s all you have. But don’t opt for fake meat, prepackaged salsa, and tidbits of authenticity when you can dine on seasoned savory meat and living water from the bible! Sure, Taco Bell is tasty and inexpensive, but nothing takes the place or is as filling or healthy as food made with love.
If you struggle with daily reading, you’re not alone. Devotionals can be great tools to help you find a routine, but don’t get stuck in simplicity. Grow in your discipline and knowledge of God’s word. Word!

- What tips can you pass along to those who need help or direction?
*Burritos were invented in California and in Texas circa 1930 by cowboys. Nachos were created in Los Angeles circa 1943. Chulupas were invented by Taco Bell.

Good work, I enjoyed A brief message to the person who jacked up my car at 3 o’clock in the morning, removed the lug nuts from the passenger-side wheel, took the wheel (presumably to replace a damaged wheel on his own Scion TC), and left my 3-wheeled car for me to discover at 8:20 a.m. this morning – jotsheet. It was good. View my blog sometime, it all about Winter Springs, FL Real Estate.
Neat, bookmarked sit down and can share with my freinds who also have an itchy vagina.
