    THAT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got married last Saturday to the most amazing man who I met on Plenty of fish. I was very, very specific about what I wanted and did not want. I was a divorcee and had gone through Divorce Care Recovery, and healing. God became the lover of my heart – my husband is my companion not a soul mate or better half as there is NO such thing! Online dating can be a great tool to find someone, if you are specific and date around the calendar (one full year) getting to know the other person. I also recommend making a list of what you want in a mate, allowing God to direct you. Everything that was written down on my list – which was done a year before I met my husband, is him to a tee, was God directed.

    but she isn't an older single woman though shes actually quite young. People may look at older single woman as being the rejects but no one asks God to be put in these circumstances.

    First – I'm a bit with Niki – she isn't "old" 25ish is not old 🙂 Although she has a really good start at being "old crazy cat lady" – she's a long way from there still.

    And she started out so likable – I thought maybe I heard children in the background – that was nice – but it wasn't – it was probably cats. I heart cats to. They seldom bring me to tears. And I don't want to hug every single that I see – although I do love hugging cats.

    Wow…ouch!
    If I'm honest I had the same initial reaction to the video as everyone else who's commented, but after some time I can't help but feel compassion for this girl.
    I hope in the future we can respond to these people with more love and grace and less judgement.

      I wouldn't say I was offended. But I didn't realise the video wasn't real. Probably because I'm in the UK.
      But even so, I think I felt personally challenged by my initial response to the video, which was to laugh and share it with my husband. As I started to write a comment about how funny it was I felt prompted to not comment but to think about it for a while. The more I thought about it the more I also thought about the scripture that says we will be known as disciples by our love for one another. I have been thinking a lot recently about how our lives and actions and words should be covered with love and was very pleased to hear that your summer series was titled 'marked by love'. The more I thought about the video the more I wasn't sure that laughing at this girl, or a spoof of a girl who could be real, was the most loving response. So I felt personally convicted and I think that made my comment sound a little harsher than it was meant to. Maybe I should've just kept the conviction to myself?

    and so I began to laugh…
    but then I kind of started feeling sorry for her (I think someone else said that too).

    Definitely hope the people out there that are really like this… and so desperate for some sort of acceptance, find someone.
