100 words: the little things…

God has great appreciation for what we may consider the small details of life, the little things that matter to us. Matthew 10:29-31 says, Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yes not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Jesus pointed out how little earthly value is placed on sparrow. Yet despite their earthly value, our Father is totally aware of their activity. Isn’t it crazy  and comforting to know that our God is not just concerned with generalities but is also concerned with our specifics as well?

What are some little things that carry little earthly value yet are of great importance to you?

    Hot drinks in the perfect mugs with a friend, stepping on crunchy fall leaves, clouds, the smell of my leather riding boots (gross huh) 🙂
    hugs, fuzzy socks, popcorn with jalapenos, accidentally saying something in the wrong language, the piano chord Badd9, genuine smiles, snowflakes, eskimo kisses….it is ALLL about the little things! 😀

    I was just sharing with the children this morning about that! They said they are thankful for their sweaters in cold weather and shoes.
