There are mountains to be climbed, molehills to be laughed at, and milestones to be achieved. It’s vitally important to write down achievements, failures, and hilarious memories which mold us into the people who use our past as reference points for the future.

In honor of the fabulous day we know as Friday, I’m singing Diana Ross’s Ain’t No Mountain High Enough. [Yes, I’m annoying. Very annoying.]

Mountains:

  • Planning a wedding with nothing more than two potatoes and bag of hope seemed impossible. But through stringent budgeting, love gifts from our parents, a whole bunch of prayer, our small wedding will be a memory of a lifetime. Please continue to pray for us as we financially plan for our future! 32 days and counting…

Molehills:

  • I have intentionally kept Ryen and Parker from being mentioned on the blog. For a year and a half I feared public opinion and being discovered as the most unfit stepmother this side of the Mississippi, or worse, the preconceived ideas about Matt’s past. But alas, living openly in a community has proven supportive and exciting. Thank you for sharing your stories… it turned my mountain into a molehill. I was deeply moved by some of the comments and I greatly appreciate your love, prayers, and support.

Milestones:

  • Three times. I’ve entered three times into Next Level Trainers‘ Biggest Loser challenge. Ironically, I’ve come in second place every time Joe has rallied his crew to compete. But last week, after much blood, sweat, and tears [literally], I won! Yes, I came in first place with a total loss of 2% body fat and seven pounds 🙂 Joe is the type of trainer who believes in people who don’t believe in themselves. I’m so grateful he’s dedicated his time and energy into helping people achieve their goals.

So what are YOUR mountains, molehills, and milestones? You don’t know where you’re going until you remember where you’ve been. Spill it! 😉
